Litbuy QC Checklist: How to Inspect Every Item Before You Buy

The Universal QC Workflow

Quality control is the single most important step in the Litbuy process. When your agent sends QC photos, you have a window of opportunity to catch issues before shipping. Once an item is shipped, exchanges are difficult or impossible.

1

Compare to Spreadsheet

Match photos to description and batch notes.

2

Check Category Points

Inspect specific details for the product type.

3

Read Agent Notes

Check for any visible issues the agent flagged.

4

Approve or Exchange

Decide within the approval window.

Shoes: The 5-Point Checklist

For shoes, inspect the following in order: Swoosh or logo placement and shape. Stitching consistency around the toe box and heel. Midsole paint lines and texture. Toe box perforation pattern. Insole branding and measurement.

Shoe QC Checklist

  • Logo placement and shape accuracy
  • Stitching consistency on toe and heel
  • Midsole paint lines and texture
  • Toe box perforation pattern
  • Insole branding and measurement

If any point is clearly off, request an exchange. Minor issues like slight glue residue or loose threads are usually acceptable at the lower tiers. Major issues like incorrect logo placement should be rejected.

Apparel: The 4-Point Checklist

For hoodies, t-shirts, and sweaters, inspect: Embroidery or print alignment and thread density. Blank weight and fabric texture. Tag placement and stitching. Neck ribbing and cuff construction.

Check PointWhat to Look ForAcceptable Range
EmbroideryCentered, clean, no bobbin threadNo visible flaws at full zoom
Blank WeightHeavy, substantial feelWithin 10% of stated weight
TagsAccurate placement, good stitchingNo misalignment or loose threads
RibbingTight, consistent, good recoveryNo gaps or stretching after pull

Color accuracy is harder to judge from photos. Lighting can distort colors. If the color is critical, ask your agent for photos in natural light.

Jackets and Outerwear: The 6-Point Checklist

Jackets have more components to inspect. Check: Zipper brand and puller engraving. Fill type and baffle spacing. Cuff and hem closure quality. Interior lining and pocket layout. Hood attachment and drawstring system. Overall weight and drape.

Do not approve a jacket with a broken zipper or uneven fill. These are not minor issues. The jacket will not function as intended if these are wrong.

Pants and Shorts: The 4-Point Checklist

For pants and shorts, inspect: Inseam measurement and leg taper. Pocket construction and stitching. Waistband stretch and hardware. Fabric texture and stretch.

The inseam is the most critical measurement. If the inseam is wrong, the fit will be wrong regardless of the waist size. Always verify the inseam against the measurement chart.

Pants QC Checklist

  • Inseam matches measurement chart
  • Leg taper matches description
  • Pocket construction is clean
  • Waistband hardware works smoothly

When to Ask for More Photos

If the QC photos are blurry, poorly lit, or do not show the detail you need, ask for more. This is a standard request. Most agents will take additional photos within a day or two.

Do not feel bad about asking for more photos. It is your right as a buyer. The agent wants you to be satisfied because satisfied customers reorder. Be specific about what you want to see.

The best angles to request are: close-up of logo or embroidery, side profile for shape, interior lining or tags, and the item laid flat for measurements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most agents send 3-5 photos per item. If you need more or specific angles, ask. Most agents are happy to accommodate.
